Here are 4 grilling safety tips to to keep your food safe and tasty!
- Be sure to wash your hands before handling food or use hand sanitizer when you don’t have access to clean water.
- Keep food cold until you are ready to start grilling. Bacteria can grow if you let is sit.
- Keep raw and cooked foods separate from each other. If you don’t, the bacteria from the raw food can contaminate the freshly cooked meal. After all the food is cooked then you can serve all the food on a clean plate.
- Be sure to keep your cooked food warm hot food warm until you are ready to be placed in a cooler with ice or refrigerator to prevent bacteria growth. Keep your salads and cold foods chilled on ice.
